OpenAI CEO Sam Altman expressed concern about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to interfere with US elections and called for regulation.

Altman suggested the US should consider licensing and testing requirements for the development of AI models, particularly those that can persuade or manipulate a person’s beliefs, and encouraged global cooperation on AI and incentives for safety compliance.
